Objective
The major responsibility of the role is to assist implementation of the project throughout the project ABAP requirements.
Responsibilities
Required to program the client’s programming requirements based on the provided specifications, and to provide system support/technical knowledge to the project team throughout the project cycle, including but not limited to the following activities:
- Create technical specifications of programs/interfaces based on functional specification provided;
- Assist to implement client’s requirements using technologies such as ABAP/4, SAPScripts, Smartforms, Data Migration, Reports, Interfaces, Portals/ESS/MSS, BSP/Web, Web Dynpro, SAP Workflow
- Involve in the programs/interfaces are Unit Tested including created sufficient test data to complete scenario testing;
- Thoroughly document any programs/interfaces including system documentation and online help documentation;
- Support client through the User Acceptance, Parallel Testing and Go-Live phases;
- Maintain up to date knowledge of SAP Products and SAP related news;
- Ensure that the template guideline are adhered to;
- Resolve 2nd and 3rd level support issues logged with the AP Support Centre within SLA timeframes – specifically investigating issues, identifying cause designing and implementation solutions, perform sufficient testing and updating required documentation;
- Adherence to NORTHGATEARINSO programming guidelines and quality control processes;
- Design and creation of interfaces to 3rd party systems such as HR, Finance, SEM, BW Systems, using technology such as IDOC’s, ALE, BAPI’s and XML;

- Familiar of SAP in HR/Payroll ABAP and design;
- Advance knowledge of implementation methodologies including the ASAP implementation methodology;
- Advance in payroll programming knowledge and the necessary competencies to deliver the maximum value to our clients;
- Analytical thinking/problem solving skills – work systematically and logically to resolve problems, address opportunities or manage the situation at hand, identify causes, relationships and implications;
- Ability to use tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Project and Visio to effectively update and maintain documentation.
Qualifications
- College graduate
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years experience in SAP HR (Payroll)
- At least 3 full life cycle implementations
- Advantage – Certified SAP Technical (ABAP) Consultant
